David Poleski is an American Artist based in Seattle. He made his artistic debut in 2018, after having worked in obscurity, painting, drawing, sculpting and experimenting in his studio for decades. Poleski worked as a school bus driver for many years, an experience that finds its way into his creative expression and use of street scenes in his paintings. A lucid dreamer, his work often possesses a dream-like quality, embodying his experiences. Poleski’s work fosters a sense of narrative and mystery, inviting the viewer into the piece and creating a sense of presence. Poleski’s work evokes the all too familiar feeling of waking from a dream and hoping you don’t forget it. His work allows us to revel in a feeling we normally only experience in the fleeting moment between sleeping and waking.
